Misheck Nyambose

Chairperson

My name is Misheck Mthetwa Nyambose. I am a Zambian, married with children and grandchildren. I currently represent the people of Chasefu District constituency as their independent MP (2021 elections). I hold a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource and Management. The civil service commission's mandate involves recruitment, promotions, transferring, disciplinary and dismissing workers in the entire public service .

I previously worked as commissioner by the republican President in May 2017, I worked in local Government or Local Authorities (Councils) where I served as President for the trade union, Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union (ZULAWU) for twenty (20) years as well as Deputy Secretary General in charge of finance and administration of the Zambia Congress Of Trade Unions (ZCTU) which is the largest trade union federation in our country.

What made me initiate the Trust was the untold challenges that the people of my homeland (Chasefu) were going through each time I visited them and at the time I was putting to rest my mother on 2nd of January 2018 at our family graveyard next to where my father was lying at Ezuleni village in Chief Phikamalaza’s area. I felt strongly that I should honour the people of Chasefu with any support that I could mobilise. I was brought up in a poor family as my father was a cook at Chongwe secondary school who could not manage basic needs of the family. Having been brought up in a poverty stricken home, I thought of forming this trust to try to help the people of Chasefu through life changing support initiaves in order to uplift their lives.

Moses Simfukwe

Secretary

My name is Moses Simfukwe. I'm a Zambian, married with children and l live in Lusaka province, Chongwe District of Zambia. I am a teacher by profession and work for the Ministry of General Education in Zambia. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce With Education. My work station is Mukamambo II Girls Secondary School based in Chongwe District where I'm  the Head of Business Studies Department.

Prior to the formation of ChEST, I had accompanied the board chairperson, Mr Misheck Nyambose, to Chasefu district where he was at a personal level doing charity work. It was during the tour of this District, which is half rural and the other half remote, I witnessed first hand the many untold challenges that the people of this part of Zambia were grappling with. This reminded me of the challenges I had also gone through when I was growing up in the Northern province of Zambia in the rural District called Mbala. Having come from a similar background, I vehemently believed that I could contribute towards the uplifting of the lives of vulnerable members of society. When the board chairperson explained to me the objectives and goals of the charitable organisation he was intending to form, I strongly felt that l could contribute my time, resources, and energy towards the achievement of most of the set objectives and goals of ChEST, especially within the area of Education.

Being a secondary school teacher for 16 years, has given me an insight into the challenges our Education sector faces especially in the rural areas of our country, but also an understanding into how to surmount most of these educational challenges faced by rural children given the resources and necessary tools.

The passion, commitment, empathy, and love that our hard working board chairperson has for the vulnerable and marginalised people, has motivated me to work with ChEST in a quest to bring a sustainable way of life to the affected members of society.
